Always remember! Be a good guest!

A drawing from The Bats ArenHello everyone and welcome to the new year! I hope you all had a good week. I had a wonderful New Year, and I hope you all did too! I hope 2018 is a good year for all of us, especially the bats. Who knows? Maybe this is the year that we finally find a cure for White Nose Syndrome! Scientists recently discovered that the fungus that causes WNS can be destroyed by ultraviolet light. So, let’s all work together and come up with a practical and effective way to use this information to save the bats!

I am very excited to announce that the Save Lucy Campaign is kicking off 2018 with a new Bats Aren’t Scary video! This is the sixth Bats Aren’t Scary video, and it is adorable! This new film stars Brenda, Corbett, and Dexter. The video begins with the stars’ colony peacefully sleeping in their cave, but it soon becomes quite suspenseful. As some terrifyingly large humans approach the bats’ cave, the slumbering animals awaken. Brenda, Corbett, and Dexter approach the entrance of the cave to examine the situation. And, Brenda soon devises a plan to save the bats as well as teach the humans how they can actually help the colony.

I would like to point out how wonderfully these little bats perform their parts. It is truly amazing how they are able to fly around while carrying such large banners. They must be incredibly strong to be able to accomplish such a feat. I would also like to recognize Brenda’s sheer genius. In devising her plan, she surely saves the day. If this isn’t an award-winning performance by our three friends, I don’t know what is. Let’s all hope that 2018 is the year that our furry friends are finally recognized for their acting abilities. I smell an Oscar!

You can view the video for yourself! I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.
